KWE-prepared XJS on BBC television
In July 06 KWE sourced and prepared a 1991 XJS V12 convertible for James May and Oz Clark to take part in a 6 part programme about French wine throughout August.
Rather like the film Sideways, the pair drove around the French wine-making districts in the XJS, sampling and describing the local produce. Two handmade wine racks were fitted in the boot.
In the 20 days we had before filming started, we managed to repair the floorpan, uprate the suspension a bit and make the car safe and reliable. The car never faltered during the arduous filming, putting up well with some enthusiastic driving!
Late News: KWE have bought the car back from the TV Production company and have now completed a substantial upgrade to body, suspension and interior. The car has just been sold to its new owner.
James May praises the XJS in Daily Telegraph here.
