A typical KWE contract will involve full restoration of the front and rear suspension assemblies, including most of the braking and steering systems.
Unless recently professionally restored, regardless of mileage, all XJ-based suspension assemblies including the DB7’s will be very loose due to perishing of key rubber components, wear in joints and bearings, and weak springs and dampers. While there may be a valid MoT for the car, these wear and perishing problems accumulate to give poor steering precision, poor handling and unbalanced braking. It is common for only the most seriously worn (or MoT-failed) parts to be renewed, leaving the rest at or near end of life. KWE always replaces all wearing parts so that the car is better than new and correctly balanced. This leads to enormous driving pleasure – the KWE grin!
Nearly all our upgrades and all as-new cars will include the popular KWE full suspension, brakes and steering upgrade rebuild which transforms these into precise-handling cars with superb Jaguar ride. However we can offer further improvements in handling by changing roll stiffness, ride height and springing. Brakes and steering can be uprated further for track use,
