100 classic cars mark centenary year at special waterfront event

‘Mr Bean’ and Spiderman were among hundreds who flooded to Penzance Promenade last weekend to celebrate the town Rotary club’s centenary year.
Falmouth Packet: A yellow bubble car provided some nostalgia
This event was marked with a display where proud vintage car owners showcased their cars on to raise money for Cornwall Air Ambulance.
At this event 100 classic and vintage cars ranging from two steam cars made in 1908 and 1909 to the newest car, a Bentley, were set up against the backdrop of the stunning Mount’s Bay.
Among the cars was a Morris Mini made famous by Mr Bean – complete with cardboard cutout of the man himself – a yellow bubble car, a Messerschmitt KR 200 and an Austin 7 Nippy.
